Departmental Level Training Institute on Labor Laws, Industrial Relations Institute (IRI), Khulna under Directorate of Labor, Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. This office is located at Mirerdanga, Ward No. 2 under Khulna City Corporation. Established in 1981, the area of this educational institution is 4.50 acres which is the own property of the Labor Department. The vision of this department is to establish peace in industrial establishments, create skilled workers, interpret Bangladesh labor laws and regulations, provide efficient management and achieve progress in industry. Industrial Relations Institute (IRI), Khulna, under the Directorate of Labor under the Ministry of Labor and Employment for the purpose of maintaining sound industrial relations and peaceful environment in the industry and for production and economic development Engaged in appropriate and systematic training activities for various government and private level employers, workers/employees, labor leaders and management officers engaged in labor sector of Khulna and Barisal divisions. As an aid to the training program, this educational facility has a beautiful and pleasant natural environment.
This educational authority, as the competent authority of the government, is responsible for labor administration, labor inspection, labor standards, to the owners, management authorities, labor leaders and general workers of government, semi-government and private industrial and commercial establishments, Providing regular training and creating awareness on contemporary issues including International Labor Organization, Labor Law and Labor Regulations, Environmental Law, Right to Information Act, Suppression of Women and Child Abuse Act, Autism, Narcotics Control Act, Terrorism and Militancy and Labor Law and Labour. Provides various interpretations of the rules. The Deputy Director is the administrative head of the school. A total of 13 officers and employees are currently working for the support of the Deputy Director of this office, 10 first class posts, 02 second class posts and 13 associate posts. Due to the changing global labor system, Bangladesh's labor administration, labor inspection and labor standards have been supported by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in upgradation of education to international standards. International Labor Organization (ILO), trainers and expert teams from different countries regularly visit the educational institution in order to raise the educational institution to international standards.
